Since leaving Switzerland to where we are now feels like months!  First hill over Kandersteg went smoothly followed by a night in Wallis in negative zero temperatures and waking up to everything including ourselves being covered in ice, luckilly the day that followed was a stunner and a good motivator to get us up and over the Simplon pass at 2005m.  The pass was bloody hard work, especially with all my training of leaving parties I was in tip top shape to be hauling my life on the back of a bike over the swiss alps, but about 4.5 hours later I was freezing my ass off at the top!!! another hour of waiting for our Dane (girls are'nt always last to the top!) and we headed down the other side, wow was it cold and by this point dark!   Ended up having quite an eventful night in Simplon Dorf staying the Gemeinde military bunk house, checking out a big fire in the town and then being invited out for beer with the locals, a good way to farewell Switzerland for a few months.

Amazing that 30 mins over the Italian border we were all stripped off and in shorts and singlets and since then it has only got hotter! a few days through Italy camping in strange dark dodgy places, abandoned railway stations, sharing paddocks with horses and hiding behind woodpiles but so far so good and have made it to sardinia and accross the island spending only 10 franks on accomodation.

Night Ferry to Sardinia after a suicide ride through innercity Genova, reminided  me why I hate cities!!

Sardinia is the most amazing beautiful place and a rock climbers paradise, a mix between arapiles and castle hill, for sure a place to come back to with a rope! Amazing natural pro climbing!! The best part of this island is its off season, not a tourist in sight, everything is shut for the season and most of the island is totally deserted.  have been picking our own fruit and veges along the way and have hardly had to buy any food, camped in the most amazing places here and also found natural hot springs so had the luxury of a warm shower/bath, so apart from smelling bad we now all smell like rotten eggs aswell.  Sardinia is one of the most mountainious islands ever, it feels like all we have done is gone up up and up, wow the legs!!! however today back down to the coast.  Catching a ferry tonight to mainland Italy and an 80k ride tomorrow and well be in Rome. More pot holes, fumes, rubbish and sleasy men!! but Rome is beautiful and am looking foward to getting back there. and a shower!!

So far weve had  2 punctures and 1 major break down, but all good.
